why not just shoot in auto? lol.
or put it in manual and mess with aperture and shutter speed till you see the little arrow right in the center of the scale.....
thats what i used to do when i first got it and it used to get me some somewhat clean shots....now i mess with EVERYTHING lol

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say that the shop is too dark. Set up a tripod and try that. We're going to need an example or a better description than what you've given us.

That kinda makes sense! I'll post some up later today.

If they're blurry, that's what it is. If they're too bright or dark, adjust the exposure compensation (+/-).

This didn't come out to bad. I guess i need to just play with the adjustments a little.

There you go, looks like it's working fine.
Try putting the camera on a tripod, set it to Manual and adjust the shutter speed and aperture until you reach your desired effect. I would also set the timer rather than actually pressing the shutter button.
A "general" picture is what you have there, anything beyond that, a photographer would want to know exactly what the image will be used for before setting up the shot.

I'm not a photographer, just trying to document the car.
