All rx8 owners 04-08 now have an 8 year, 100k mile warrenty on the engine. I read about it on rx8club and I recieved my letter and dvd in the mail yesterday.. It only covers the engine but thats really the only place people are having the issues with the car. It is a transferable warrenty and includes parts and labor for any issues.. I was really happy to hear since my motor was just replaced at 56k miles, so only 4k were left with the new engine under warrenty :) :) :)

don't know what it is for brand new cars but I imagine it's probably about the same

I did get to see an 09 model this past Friday, very nice, I like the updated look on the front and I can't wait to see an R3 package in person.
Some of the rotary rebuild guys from the shop that Mazda has here in VA came down to our regular Friday night meet with the car.
One of the master instructors from Japan came along, he said he's been building rotaries for 36 years.
