Looks like a Mustang II on steroids, 72 was definitely the last year of the muscle car,, IMO anyway.

71 - 72 and 73 were the same. 74 was first year of the pinto based MustangII and no V8 was offered for 1974. 2.8 v6 was top of the line performance in the 74 Mach1. LoL

73 Mach1 was,.. THEE,.. last classic Mustang muscle car.

(this is not TR Member tiffiny's)So, it's a no go on the mach one. Kid failed to mention a few key details before I drove from st.pete to lakeland. No locks anywhere on car, no door panels, can't roll windows down beacuase of missing window cranks. Told me on phone that rust was minimal..I beg to differ. One bad spot by the trunk..newer paint is bubbly. I coud have overlooked the rust..except for the couple of spot in the floor boards. Kinda musty inside made me think cowl might be rusty as well. Car sounded awsome though. Too bad, it looked real good from the road.

How much did they want, and what motor did it have? There is no such thing as an unrestored mustang in Florida that is not rusty. They're ALL rusty here. Because 90% of them are from up north. Also, the sea water in the air really tears em up along with the sand which seems to get EVERYWHERE. Floorboards are EASY to replace. EASY!

$4500, 351C. I wasnt looking for rust free, but I am looking for something that isnt a "project" like my capri. These are the things ive found in 10 minutes looking at it. If the cowl was indeed bad, the thing is junk to me.

Yeah, $4500 is not a good deal for a car in that condition. Plus, with a 351C in it...Blech! :puke: Boat anchors unless you got some serious $$$ to dump. My daughters boyfriend is going to look at a 66 today for $3500. My daughter told him to have me go with him or he would end up getting screwed. He never called. Guess he swings both ways?
