Hey, guys...just thought I'd drop in and post my "introduction". I'm not exactly from Tampa, let alone FL...although its been my life long dream to live in the land of beaches and sun (for the most part ;)) My friend and I do, however, drive down to tampa every year to pick up his son, and then drive down to Miami to see my daughter. I really love the Tampa/Clearwater area!

Anyway, I'm in the USAF stationed in Rapid City, South Dakota. Just thought I'd swing in and say hey! One of these day's I'll be in the area ;)

Hope you guys/gals dont mind a foriegner :P

Ahh, i see...i just saw on the left that it said you drove a 91 240sx. Sorry bout that! Can't say I blame you for changing...they can be pretty high-maintenance cars lol


And I totally agree about the Tampa area...I'd love to make it down there..just dont think I could afford to live there though haha...I'd have to find 2 roomates or something :P

I have heard of such beaches but rarely do I see them and I live here

However I do see a lot of sun on weekends due to attending a lot of autox events

Right on man! What branch are you? I'm gonna go with Army? Cause thats the only base I know of in TN...in fact a good friend of mine was there for a bit. Actually got to see her last year when i went down there. So how long are you in Iraq for? I've got just under 2 months left here, so I cant wait to get home and work on my car! Its crazy, cause all i can do is buy a bunch of stuff and have it shipped home. So I feel like I've been wasting money. The only thing I had shipped here was my MegaSquirt II setup so I could build it while I'm out here. But, my laptop decided it wanted to eat up my hard drive, so I cant complete it yet, as I dont have a laptop to load up the firmware, let alone test it to make sure the unit works :(

Now THATS a shame. I'd have to make it a point to ensure I see the beach at least once a week if I lived there...I'm such a beach bum...Clearwater was gorgeous...I just love the atmosphere in FL...Palm Tree's...Sun...Sand...Water...

Although, when I was down in Tampa the first time, my buddy and I stopped at a gas station, and asked for some directions to a beach, which she did a pretty good job at...

Unfortunately, The beach was literally in front of some kind of industrial plant...I was like WTF? What kinda crap is this?! We figured if we would have kept going, we probably would have been mugged or died from some kind of radiation poisoning or something. So we went back and she gave us directions on how to get to Clearwater Beach ;)

Tons better...So we went down there with some of our friends and my buddies little bro, and just chilled on the beach all night. Was friggin awesome!
