:wiggle: efi ftw Uhhh....No....Had it been a carb'ed car, I would have had far less possibilities, and would have tracked the problem down after just 1 week instead of two. LMAO

I'm not....I'm not.

I just said that if it was carb, it would have had less things to troubleshoot. I'm still curious as to why it wouldn't pop a code of any kind. That was weird....Maybe it was not registering it as even running?

when its not running it cant troubleshoot.

Computers are evil! They just sit there not saying a word, and when you aren't looking, they make your car run horrible! I wish we could go back to the old days when that kind of black magic would get you burned at the stake. Just think, if that stupid computer wasn't there, he couldn't possibly have blamed anyone but himself, but since that evil black box was there, naturally we assumed it was up to no good! To make matters worse, it tricked us, and was actually just fine! I hate that stupid computer! It is too complicated! If it could only be as simple as a Holley 4150 with just a pair of jets, an air bleed, a float, a needle valve, an emulsion tube, two idle fuel bypass screws, transfer slot, power valve, PVCR holes, idle bypass jet, accelerator pump, squirter nozzle, pump cam, all times two. What could go wrong with that? I mean, seriously, my Grandmother knows how all that stuff works!

Heres a thought.... maybe instead of trying to dumb the car down.... we could educate the owner.... I know its a crazy radical idea, but just maybe....

Just for the record, I like a Carb just as much as the rest of the Unabomber wanna be's around here, and I can tune and modify them nearly as well as I can the factory EFI system.

Brian, you're funny! :lmao: I guess the question I have regarding the computer isn't why it wouldn't pop a code, but why it would not record ANY data at all. It was like the car wasn't running. (even though it was)

Just for the record people, your ford WILL run if you have the firing order completely backwards. i.e.reverse rotation It'll just run really rough.

well first and for most you dont have the check engine light in there anymore lol.

but I know why it didnt pick up any codes when I plugged into....I brought the wrong cable with me...that one is my fault :crack: Hence the reason its always better to bring the car to where the tools are. Its sitting in my tool box lol.

LMAO! Well...I'll have to bring it over and see what it says. Although it's running great now that I replaced the alternator. LOL
