I know - music sucks, but it was either that or wind noise.

Yeah - I just picked some random song to cover up the noise from the wind hitting the camera mic. I'm going to try to get some new footage and put some foam on the microphone so that I can let the real sound come through.

Exactly how the fuck did you pull off the floating hood scoop trick?!?! :dunno:

??? You mean, with the whipple?

It's attached to the plastic trim piece, which in turn is attached to the hood with push-pins :)

Lol - no. Look under your hood. When it's open, the part that is still attached to the hood is connected with push pins...er..maybe they are called something else but you'll see what I mean. I attached everything to that.

I'm so cornfused.....I'm talking about the shaker intake itself....are you? I looked through your pics and didn't see any of the hood...

When I open the hood, the shaker stays attached to the hood. I removed the metal parts of the intake - only the shaker top and the rubber seal remain.

And a really nasty whine.... :naughty:

This one doesn't really whine at all. The old style whipple made some noise.

huh.....ok......not afraid it will fly off on the highway?

How come you didn't reattach it? I have seen a Mach with a KB and the shaker mounted over it, so I know it can be done.

When you use a KB kit, the blower snout is much smaller because there is only one drive belt. I converted everything to a cobra drive setup. It's difficult, if not impossible to make it fit. Finally, the engine and blower looked so good when I was done, I didn't want to cover it up with the shaker. :) The front cover and everything else is powdercoated, so I wanted to leave it as clean as possible.

Just grabbed something to cover up the wind noise.. :(!!! :)

Once at the track. Spun in 1st and 2nd to an 11.80 at 131. 131mph and some traction, it should go mid 10s.
