A buddy of mine will be coming home soon and I'd like to get his car as close to running as possible by the time he does. He is expected to be home in about a month. He use to run at Sunshine and Lakeland all the time.

Just so it is known, I won't be disclosing his name or anything about him, just that he is a great guy that would give the shirt off of his back if he thought you needed it. I say this for those who may choose not to donate without knowing anything about the person, which is understandable.

With that said, some of you may know him or his car if you were to see him or it (or I know for a fact that some of you know him). (Not from the internet) The car is a 351w based carbed fox body with nitrous and a c-4 behind it along with an 8.8 on 28x10.s running mid 9s, or it was the last time he ran it in the late 90s to early '00s if I remember right.

I know his c-4 will need to be rebuilt, I think he hurt it the last time out.
I'm positive he will need some new or newer 28x10.5s MTs as I'm sure his are dry rotted
He may need some more front runners as well

I will make the list once I get the okay from his wife and find out what else is needed. I've never done anything like this before, so just thought I'd get a feel for how it might go before I go implying to his wife that this may be possible.

I might have some parts for trade, tho I can tell you I don't have much left that I won't be using. I'll post that up later as well.

Let me know what you think. I'm pretty excited to see him coming home!

Terry, I'd be willing to donate to the cause bud. I may not have a huge contribution, but I'd be willing to help a little ;)

Kudos to you for wanting to help the guy out!

Well guys, I appreciate the support very much. I am impressed by the way ford tech sticks together! :headbang:

However, after talking to him and trying to sneak info from him, he has plans of his own for the car that he will start on when he gets home. I won't be able to do much of anything without undermining the plans that he has for his car. This sucks, because I was really wanting to do this for him.

Thanks again guys I really appreciate all of the help you guys have offered!
