Whats up everyone I finally got pic of the lift i just got installed along with new rims and tires. Overall it was a straight forward set up. Fabtech 3.5" spindles, 2" daystar coil spacers, 3" block in the rear, with rancho rs5000 shocks. Advanced 4x4 did the install (great bunch of guys). For the rims and tires i went with a set of Gear Alloy Recoils 18x10 with a set of Toyo M/T 33/12.5/18's. I feel it gives it an overall better stance and great look. The only rubbing was alittle on the front bumper and the windshield washer fuild tank and the rear of the fender well. Nothing a hammer cant fix. Other than that i love it. Big thanks to Adam and the gang and i will be back soon for more stuff.

Here are some pics of before and after. Enjoy...

35's would be a hell of a lot of cutting. The 33" there was some cutting.

Does anyone know when it does go into effect? It doesn't really bother me, just another reason for a cop to pull me over. At least this ticket will be cheaper than others. LOL

I have a friend that is selling his 6" fabtech lift. He said he is will to part it out. I was wondering if i could just buy the upper A-arm's and springs to make it a full six inch lift? I already have the fabtehc spindle. is the spindle lift and the spindles used in the 6" lift the same? Any info on this would be great. Also can i keep my Daystar 2" coil spacer with the new spring and upper A-arm? Thanks.

needs fender flares. I cleared 33"s without cranking, My only complaint is that the GM brakes suck with heavy tires compaired to my old F-150 but I'm probably about 500 to 600 lbs heaver w/ 4wd and tool box w/ tools and stuff.

I am still up in the air about what kind of flares i want. Also it has coils not torsion keys so i had to do a lift to get it to fit.

Looks good, i think mine rub becuase of the width of the tire. i am running 33/12.5/18's so they hit when at full lock.

Didn't know if you are interested or not, i have the same exact rims with the stock tire for sale. If you wanted a backup set or know somebody who wants them. I will cut u a good price. Let me know.

MonteCarlo31
05-26-2008, 11:07 AM
na... you should be able to sell them for 200 or so. I'll never go back to a p metric tire on a full size, I'm not sure why GM does that to be honist, maybe ride or ???. Put them up on craigslist, there are always people looking for a cheap set. I just put some 295/70R17 Nitto Terra Grapplers on for 450 installed. No one in town could touch that for new non blem tires.

IwinUlose

montecarlo your also using stock wheels. I makes a huge difference believe it or not. Ryan has a 18x10 with like 4.25" of bs where the stock is close to 5" on a 8" wheel. An by the lookm of your truck it looks to have been cranked. We use to do it all the time at the dealer. It sits to level for it not to have been cranked.

MonteCarlo31
05-28-2008, 09:05 PM
sits the way it rolled off the truck there boss. They are 17x7.5 but the tire is wider. I honistly don't think a 18 x10 w/ 33s would rub either since these are a bit taller then 33s.

Well don't know what to tell you. I have 18x10x33's and they rub. I can show you first hand if you still don't believe me. But they do rub.

LOL, yes i know. But i still have to fit into a garage at work and at home so it can't go up to much higher. I could go up about another 3' if i wanted to push it. But that is about it.

Damn, I can't can't believe you can make in in your garage w/ that lift. Whats the opening height? My truck is too long to really park in my garage (it fit's but you can't walk around it).

IwinUlose
05-29-2008, 05:54 PM
I think he said 7' was the max. You could go another 2" inches which would put you at a fabtech 7.5" kit but you wouldn't be able to clear a 7' door with 35"s

My garage is 7" tall but it has an extra 8 feet over a normal garage in lenght. It was the way the house was built. I have a work bench and a friedge behind my truck and still have room to walk around it.

Yeah that would be pushing it. And for just a few inch's it is not worth paying over a 1500 gain. So i think i will stick with what i have for now. Unless i find a good deal. LOL I can never say never. LOL

It's probably a good idea to stay where your are too as 1/2 ton GM trucks really don't like big tires (33s or more). What gears are you running? I can tell you my truck w/ 3.42s is a pig un tuned. Let me know if you want a hand tuning.
