i was at the hudson meet tonight and a turbo vw gti with 2 passengers gave me my first ever skeet race, 3 back to back races, and my first wins ever! thanks whoever turbo gti that was! :smile:

However, my question is, shouldn't the GTI have won? I raced from 2 stop light digs and one 40mph roll. From one dig I got him by 2 car lengths and from the roll I got him by half a car and stopped when i hit 100+ mph and on the last dig he just gave up because he was turning to his housing complex or whatever i think lol. Keep in mind I had a passenger as well and I just got done filling up my tank with gas lawl :P he should have raped me right?

GTI has absolutly no traction due to 22 LB Spikes in first gear running on stock diff.. If you remember your car lauched hard off the line.. you have stock LSD right?

all in all gotta work on the traction issues.. once we get that down we can try agian ;)

A stock GTI and a Stock SI are pretty close, you should have him from a roll and he should have you from a dig. The GTI is all torque and hondas are all top end.

the first one i'd have to say no...we got caught at the light on fowler one night, it was late so no one was around. went at it, and from 1st-2nd, he got the jump, and i SLOWLY came around him, and put 2 cars by the time i let off realizing i couldn't get any more boost...my coldside pipe had popped off the IC and was only seeing 10psi and fell off to 3psi :lol:

the second one was up here where, at the light before getting on the on ramp, we had about 1/8th of a mile before the merge. heard the exhaust, and was lowered, don't know what else it had done...was able to take it off the line and slowly pulled away from it.

cars are quick, but on the streets havent really scene too many to see what they can do. at the track it varies. i've seen some run anywhere from a mid 14 on streets to mid 13 on DR (both modded)

lmao its funny how you say no supporting mods the car was lowered had a front mount blow off full 3 inch exhaust and a clucth at least that what he told me at sunoco before we raced. the car was lowered and had a big front mount as far as anythin else i dont know im not into vw's he was pumping 100 oct and asked what i had done to my car since i was running on my open hytech race header (loud and deep as fuck) anywho the roll we went from was from 60 and i let him take the hit cuz i i was in third and i wanted to downshift into second boom 3 beeps hes out a fender and im thinkin holy shit is my car that fast or his that slow cuz im by no means fast quick yes fast is 12 sec or faster in a 1/4 i just got into the high 13 last week at bradenton i throw third im just passing him like nuthin top of 4 im like 3 cars in front of him and i let off i didnt know if he actually thought he had a chance cuz when a car goes quiet open header after revving to 9k it means the race is done (im in neutral) but he insisted to keep racing so i let him race the wind

fmic suck on vws unless you have a bigger turbo. usually with a fmic on a vw you lose power. and 3'' dp good for spool on a small turbo but in top end it won't hold. not say low 13's isn't good. bc my car is slow. i can go on about vws good and bads all day but most everyone on here would say wtf. and i am not saying you can't beat them alot of them are slow.

lol it may still be causing your leak.... you do know if you contact forge they will send you a free replacement O-Ring they even pay the shipping. I had to do it once or twice when i had a forge DV. i now run a DV that requires no maintenance.
