hey i have a 93 ranger 4wd 4x4 with the 4.0 v6 same size as the big jeep engine with a 3inch body lift and 31x10.50 tires tow package and full flowmaster exhaust , it has a bbk throttle body and throttle body spacer automatic i just replaced the transmission was done at a dealership! All i want for it is 1700. I just put a grand into it all it needs is an ignition coil becuase it runs rough some times and stalls out.

you might find a xj jeep for a little over a g and thats finding a deal...


and don't even think about finding a yota for less that 4k...

who said i was looking for something 4x4, and yes i can find something for that cheap, if u look at the craigs list there is bunch of jeeps and trucks for sale for 400-600 dollars, i was just seeing if anybody here has anything plus im still waiting for my tax rebate check to come.

if you reread what you typed looks like you want a beater/trail truck or jeep... right?

i don't know about you but i have 2 4x4's (2nd gen yota & jeep xj) and i wouldn't take a 2wd truck "in the woods/ trails"

so it looks to me that you want a 4x4... and yes on craigslist there are "beater nonrunning" trucks for very little money... fine buy a beater for 300bux but be ready to dump $$$ into it just to keep it running... and thats a fact Jack!

and yes dude my buddy has a i think 2004 toyota tacoma the lil work truck, its stock and its 5 speed and we take it out on trails out here all the time, i mean yea u can go out where the big boys and 4x4 go and get stock but there is lots of atv trails that are plenty fun where 2wd is fine.
p.s. and im not trying to be an ass or anything, sorry if i sound like it.

if u have the right set up and know how to drive it 2wd can do well. ur not ganna climb rock and get in to mud up to ur window but some trailriding and what not its ok. a locker will help. bump good luck

well for the trails im talking about a car would be fine lmao, nah but if i get a 2wd then yea im only going to go on lil atv trails and stuff. my buddy has i think like 1990 jeep cherokee 4x4 and he bearly uses the the 4x4 sometimes if we go make our own trails or if the sugar sand gets bad, but sometimes in sugar sand even 4 wheel drive wont help hahah thanx
