I'm a fan of Pioneer decks. Alpine as well.

this is just me BUT i would stay away from pioneer's line of stereo's where the volume knob is also your up down left right and select button, or "joystick" style, the knobs break so dam easy. i have a pioneer dehp4900 w/o the joystick and i love it.

Notladstyle's had his for as long as I've known him and it has worked perfect, but I personally HATE the jogstick.

Anymore, most customers seem to prefer the Pioneer headunits over anything else. I would say 2 out of three stereos we sell a week are Pioneers (many are Nav units however). We have even lessened our Kenwood and JVC holdings over the last 6 months because they just don't move as much.

The Pioneer DEH-P6000 is a really nice unit however this unit really is about a $200 piece-wouldn't spend much more than that. If you can't get it that cheap from whatever source you choose, give me a shout...

I have a similar unit to that. There 190 on ebay. I love the fact I can have my 120gb External hard drive hooked up to it and im able to scroll through all the files on it easily. Also has Ipod controls.
