alot of us here all run similar times (7.40s-7.80s)and are local to sunshine.

why dont we have a 'quick 8' or something like that.

have two qualifing passes, set up a ladder and race. maybe chip in $20 bucks each and either split it 70/30 between first and second or winner takes all.

cars that need to use nitrous to run in the 7.40s-8.0s can, those that can do it on the motor will not use nitrous.

I get his theory....think heads up madness 7.50 class. Maybe we should all show up for that class next month and that will prove the winner?

He's talkin about settin up a lader and winner moves on to race a winner of anohter race.

But I dont think we would get 8 cars out there and I think it would be hard as hell to setup and get done in the street lanes on a Wednesday night.

The biggest problem with any kind of race involving rounds is getting the track to go along with it..... We could set it up and just try to run off in pairs in the regular line, but then it would be on a full tree and not a pro tree..... I just dont think it will work out well.....

I think we'd all have more fun on Friday night in the Sportsman (street) class. Dial in's after two time runs. No heads up. Good old fashioned bracket racing.

A true test of the driver to be consistent, not a heads up style that would surely put the fastest car in the winner's spot.

But that's just me, I grew up bracket racing with my Dad for years before he moved up to the index classes.

Plus that will also show us who the better drivers are and who knows their cars better.

Also gives the option if you wanna run on the bottle and dip into the 6's to flex some muscle (me and na306 can get there, and I am shure there are many more that are capable of that on this site) as long as you think you consistant, cum wit it. The faster car would just have to run down the slower car....good old bracket racing....racing for the poor man lol

Everyone is titled to their opinions.

But I dont agree with it. There is s pretty good skill involved in bracket racing IMO. To win you have to take alot into account (weather conditions, track conditions, etc.) to be consistant

Plus it gives the people who dont have unlimited funds to go out there, have some fun, and actually be competitive.

I will admit it bracket racing is boring to watch for the spectators but its a differant story if you out there in a car racing.

Bracket racing is boring to watch, but fun to do, and definitely takes skill and experience to win.

That said, I hate a lot of bracket racers. They are the jackasses that are sitting in the staging lanes, car running, REV......REV........REV........REV........REV..... .jesus christ, shut it off. Even idling irritates me cuz so many of them run so damn rich that the fumes kill you. Then they're also the ones terrorizing the pit areas. Doing drop hops, making laps to "warm up."
