Feel free to ask questions, discuss techniques and call people out.
Do not bring any drama, complaints or whining into this thread. If you have specific concerns you can PM them to me (.:Chris:.), DareDevil or Green_Lantern for consideration. If you post them here they will be laughed at, deleted and most importantly: ignored.
Good luck to everyone.

I guess its time to make that bed sheet light reflector I thought of making a while back. Anybody got some studio lights that this P&Ser can borrow? I guess I could resort to using table lamps.:crack:

No it doesn't, I was thinking of more of constant light source anyway.
I picked up a couple a 250 halogen work lights today for the garage, I'm gonna shine them into some foam core to use as a diffuser. We shall see if it twerks.

Unfortunately nudity is outside the rules and expectations of this site. If you really feel strongly, shoot me a PM with an example and I'll see what I can do.

One of the reasons we have these assignments is to improve our range of photography. Give it a try.

You've got this. It's not difficult at all, just have to find a willing subject and put them infront of a nice landscape. You've posted some good landscape shots previously, this shouldn't be too much of a stretch for you.

Thanx man, I was beginning to think the "more experienced" members couldn't come up with some constructive criticism.
If something comes to mind background wise, I might participate...
Michael.

Yeah, I know it was in the other thread. I moved it here because it didn't belong in the contest thread. Also, btuners' image was fine (800x700 or something) when I looked, and mine was 900x602.
Michael.
05-29-2008, 08:24 AM
ah. just looked bigger. i guess cause it was verticle
.:Chris:.
05-29-2008, 08:44 AM
Yeah, maybe he resized it. The rules say 800 on the longest side, so anything up to 800x800 would be acceptable.

Sooooooooooo I have to choose since I won last month's contest? If so tell me who to PM :D

06-01-2008, 12:43 PM
I think the winner should be decided by poll.
My statement is not related to just this month's contest. I think some people have a unfair advantage when only one person decides the winner.
I guess the previous months winner can be the deciding factor incase of a tie in the polls and still pass on the baton however they do (pm, email, phone, etc...).
Good luck to all the contestants!

Sorry, but I've tried taking opinions on this before and it gets me nowhere. This is actually the second month that it's been decided this way - before that it was a poll and people generally didn't like it.
Everyone has an opinion, and I'm always open to hearing them, but unfortunately I can't please everyone. We'll take a look at the process after another month or two and see if we need changes.

06-02-2008, 09:44 AM
alright sent ya a PM. I'll be around all day, I dropped my class today (Financial Accounting during the summer was a little too hard, I need the extra 6 weeks in a full semester) so I'll be chillin, call me or IM me after 12 ish
.:Chris:.
06-02-2008, 10:12 AM
PM'd you back. Just make an empty thread, all of your topics sound fine. Pick one and I'll edit in all of the contest information.
I took Financial Accounting online... it sucked. I don't recommend it.
Michael.
06-02-2008, 10:28 AM
yeah its not online, but JUST having it 2 days a week for 2 hours each night is tough. I'll just take it in the fall when it wont be as rushed and I'll have the lecture one day then the small discussion class the next, I feel that'll help me and be a little easier.
I think I'm leaning towards the 3rd idea. I'll go with that one...It'll be the June contest right?
