Okay, this may sound weird but I think the ride on the stock suspension of my 04 STi is too rough... i know everyone is going to say, "oh, tuned for performance" or "your driving a subaru rally car" but please keep those comments to yourself. What i'm wondering is if there is an aftermarket suspension system that will make my car's ride more comfortable/smoother? i'm not looking for cadillac but somewhere in the middle of that and what i have now would be nice.

I have a stock 2008 STI suspension that might work, my car drove like a CTS before I got my coil overs!!!
They only had 1500 Miles on them.

is the 08 Sti an all nice and cushy ride?

Yes very much so, I know a good percentage has to do with teh seats not being as hard, but overall the car was 200x less rough them my 2007 STi

I bet they are too wide at the knuckle.. for the 2004 STi...
they might fit the 2005-2007 me thinks. unless subaru went backwards and downsized the knuckles but they probably would have gone back to 5x100..:headbang:

How soft would coil overs be on the softest setting?

04 fits 04 only
08 uses different struts and mounts then 05-07...although sti models are close, not 100% the same though :)
can always throw you a set of bc's with a nice and light 7/5k spring rate, that would always help. stock sti is sort of...bouncy.

:lol::lol:
I don't know I was thinking about playing around with the softness settings on my coilovers. I'll turn them all to softest and see if they are any good.

Ill trade ya some 04 struts/ whiteline springs for your sti goodness! They are progressive springs so they are nice and soft for most driving but they do get bumpy when it gets rough.
