White Pride

After reading a few threads in pit road i've become annoyed about the uneven footing that white people stand on.

This might be a news flash to a few of you guys but i'm white. I'm not 1/2 white or 3/4 white. I am a homegrown right here in america white guy. I am proud of being white and think that our race has contributed more to the world in the last several hundred years then any other race.

Just because I beleive all of the things i've stated doesn't mean i'm a racist. Having white pride doesn't mean I want to hang other people and yet alot of people get uncomfortable when a white man says he has pride.

That being said I bet this thread won't get locked in ford tech nearly as fast as it would in pit road like the other pride threads. :crack:

I'm not sure why anyone would lock this. I haven't said anything racist and even implicated anything of the sort. I mearly stated that myself as a white guy am proud of my race. This doesn't mean I don't like other races or think anyone reading should either.

A few years back we had a day labor working with us and he had neo nazi tatoo's, white pride and all that shit all over his body. So he asks me what I think if my daughter came home with a black boy. I gave the most honest answer I could. I woudnt be too happy about it. I would rather see her with a white guy,.. but if the kid was a good kid and treated her right,.. then there are a lot worse things she could end up with. A drunk or drugged out white guys? A wife beater? Its not the color of the skin that effects me.. its the attitude and lack of respect from most kids that pisses me off. He asked me,.. "what about your heritage?" "You want your daughter to have ****** babies?". At which point I laughed. Heritage? My mother is from Germany, my father is a pure american mutt. I have american indian, irish, polish, german and sweedish ancestry. Where is the heritage in that? I'm sure somewhere in my family tree there could have been an african,.. who knows. My mixed lab has more heritage then I do.

This is not a strike against white pride or what ever,.. but in my personal view,.. there is no such thing as white pride or heritage. We are all from multi racial backgrounds. Being an American doesnt make you white. American pride can be from any skin color. Thats what makes this America.

How ever in this politically correct era that will never happen. Not when politicians have an economic agenda and offending minorities can get you labeled as a racist thus being black labeled by those funding campaigns.

Anyway the topic was about white pride and being proud to be white. Teddy Roosevelt's speech has little to do with white pride. He was asking those of a foreign decent to lay loyalty to the American flag. Are you referring to American pride or white pride? There is a difference.

I kinda understand where this thread derived from. Basically if a minority gets into a conflict with person of white decent they can lay down a race card and bring the argument to another level. OK, here's my take on this. I'm not white. I'm Indian (feather :lol: ) For all intents and purposes, I look white, only with a bit of a tan. What can I say, there was a honkey in the woodpile. I kick back and take a look at a lot of my fellow Native Americans (ummm, Indian/feather) and see them constantly pulling the race card and blaming all their miseries on the white man. They constantly yearn for the good ol' days before the white man came and ruined paradise. That's just so much bullshit for a myriad of reasons that I don't even want to get into right now. The point is, if you want to know who is racist, just look for the guy who is crying racism. He's usually the guy that is down and is just too lazy to get up by himself and wants to blame his troubles on someone else...anyone else other than himself. Who better than someone from another race that seems to be doing better than he is? The "American Dream" that anybody can be anything they want sounds like a cliche but it is the truth. I moved here from Washington state. I love the weather here, but......The people here are a bit different than in Washington. By different....Well....When someone here says they'll have something done next week, they really mean next month. In Washington, when they say they'll have it ready by next week, they're calling you on Thurday this week to come pick it up. Things seem to run a bit slower here in Florida. Thats ok though....I love the beach and the bikinis. Thats something you don't see much of in Washington. This area is a LOT more racist than Washingon is....but thats ok...I love the weather. Well I will tell you this. When I lived in Louisiana I had a friend who was my best friend. He was a black man. Did I see him any different than me. Hell no. He would bring me his truck every time he wanted something done to it. It was an 84 Silverado that I built him a 427 for and he would drive it to the track run 12:20's and then drive it the rest of the week.
We hung out. baraqued, went to black and white bars and no one at either ever said anything racist to either of us.
Maybe it is a different thing over there but I can honestly say that he and I looked at world just the same.

I am from an Irish/German heritage, many generations back. My family is American to the bone. I am ex Navy. I dont care if you are green, purple or white. I will treat you as good/bad as you treat me. Trash doesn"t know a color, hench the n word can apply to anyone.

I have traced my lineage back quite a way. I have no black blood in me, but I DO have cherokee blood in me on my fathers side. With that said, I try not to be racist....However, I AM proud of my white herritage. I am also proud of my indian herritage. I don't, however, feel the need to shout it from the mountain top so to speak. I simply pass on the knowledge to my children so they, too, can be proud of their herritage.

I still feel the same way as the Aussie speaker does. This country was conquered by the white man. Deal with it. As the conquerer, we get to set the rules. We have been nice enough to allow indians their own "tax free" lands and such. We have also allowed them to have their reservations and casinos. That is far more than other conquering "tribes" would have allowed back in the days before the white man came.

Mexicans have been silently invading this land for some time and flying low under the radar. They are quickly becoming the new conquering force. If we don't speak up now and kick them back where they came from, then we will have no choice but to accept their rules...which will include changing the popularly known language of English to the popularly known language of Spanish. Blacks are quickly becoming the majority though and we may have a fight for a national language of swahilli (sp) or some other african dialect and spanish. :lol: I will continue to speak english though. ;)
