I'm sure Dalton will chime in here any minute and offer to install it for a couple ketchup packets and 2 peanuts. :D

He's actually finishing up an install right now in a nice little RSX. I checked it out and it's a pretty good install.

omg the wiring I just did on the RSX is so f-ing clean. ECU Kill, Fuel pump kill, all upper dash wiring, battery backup, microwave & tilt sensor, relocated control module, and my favorite - all black wires bundled in one harness - try and hotwire that shit :p. 6 hours of work but well worth it.

As for the OP for alarm install, Id love to install it. Price depends on the car & features.

6 hours Dalton??? I am sure glad you don't make your living off this stuff. How much labor did you charge? I wish I could get more customers to pay for the labor that a true "high-security" install involves. An alarm can be twisted up and thrown in with all features working in less than an hour. However, to "black" all wires, run them with factory stuff, solder all connections, etc, up's the labor an easy $100-$200 or more (if remote start). Hell, I can't even get GM customers to come off of $50 to install the manual door trigger pins we talked about (great idea though-we did upsell it on two Impalas last week-works like a charm). They'll buy everything else in the store (including the $400 remote start system) but won't come off of $50 to cover the doors! Priorities...

And yes, if Dalton doesn't want the install, we can do it as early as Saturday (tomorrow) for whatever he quotes plus two ketchup packets (hey, I have overhead!)....

I charged $140 total for labor (like $25/hr), that included opening up the factory harnesses to the ignition, drivers kick, and PCM to run the alarm wires in the same loom. I soldered almost everything and even installed a mini siren in the passenger compartment.

Glad that door trigger idea worked out - its so much easier to drill a hole and throw door pins in than to find, tap, and diode isolate every trigger =(

Even if he wanted me to, I actually cant do it this weekend =( my wife is graduating tomorrow so I'll be watching her walk & taking pics and Sunday we are house hunting! so its all you MCOR!

I HIGHLY recommend the remote start. It is a very fun little feature to any car, and sure does impress people occasionally.

Some people aren't impressed by anything.
