One Lap in a Yaris - Vox (http://yarisonelap.vox.com/)
Just keeping an eye on Loren, New Jeff, the Yaris, and The One Lap.
There is surely a thread elsewhere, but I only go here.
Glad to see they are talking about fuel economy.
My Miata is rated at 26 mpg highway, and I commonly get 27 combined.
I really think I could get 30 mpg on a trip with the correct sized tires, by merely keeping the speed down (say 55 mph).
55mph !?!?!? .... I wonder if that law is going to come back as fuel prices go up. I think people are deathly affraid to mention it.

I like the post that stated that the blur has begun.

You really should put it on your list of things to do. One Lap of America is something that you get so wrapped up in after a few days that it really becomes a vacation from reality. You just don't have much time to think about the real world. The only reason I have a moment right now is because the drag race got rained out... otherwise, we'd just be leaving the dragstrip! (instead, we're almost to our hotel in LA, and will get a full 8 hours of sleep tonight, a rarety)

Thank goodness we can live vicariously through Loren.
They need that mandrell bent exhaust to boost his hp from 106 (to 108?).

I decided today that since I've done One Lap with "Old Jeff" and "New Jeff", next time it needs to be with "Not Jeff". Now taking applications for a non-Jeff. Must have lots of money, a reliable fast car, and a lot of free time in May.

Hmmmm. My name starts with an A but I am not sure about taking my car on this type of trip though it may not be the definition of fast that you are seeking.
