so i bought a 1992 sc300 about a year ago. i was going to drive it stock, but instead i'm going to build the piss out of it and race it. as if i didn't need anything else to spend my money on.

i'm a broke fool, so its probably going to take the better part of two years. i figured i would start posting pics as i go, so it probably won't get exciting until i start building stuff.

either way, plan so far:

ported head by jay greene "greenmonstah"
brain crower springs and retainers
fsrmotorsports.com custom cam grind
Groden aluminum rods
stock crank
head & main studs
10:1 compression cp pistons
2jz-gte oil pump

Bullseye Power (borg warner) s380, 1.25 turbine, race cover
bottom mount divided t4 manifold - DC exclusive
50mm turbosmart racegate wastegate
50mm turbosmart raceport bov
4~5 inch downpipe (can't decide) - DC exclusive
4~5 inch aluminum exhaust - DC exclusive
2000hp air to water intercooler setup- DC exclusive
semi-sheet metal intake - DC exclusive
80mm wilson throttle body

Electromotive tec3r
electromotive 2jz-gte trigger wheel
twin custom fuel rails, 450 cc primary, 1600 cc secondary - DC exclusive
10an fuel system with either custom sump or fuel cell - DC exlcusive
1035 weldon pump with pre & post filters followed by weldon regulator

transmission is the only thing that i'm not particularly sure about yet. not sure if i'm going with a v160, th400 or pg. depends on cost i guess. i have a lot of time before that will be a problem, so i'm not too worried about it.

i've got a r154 and can convert it,so i might do that until i figure out a sound tranny combo.

either way, here are some pics of the car and my engine being torn down. i already sent the head out (thanks jay) and should have that back in a month. i'll probably build the intake first followed by the exhaust stuff while i'm saving for the engine managment.

enjoy!

I always heard the bigger the turbo, the smaller the ding-a-ling! is this true? If so, you and your father (Ian) have very tiny packages.

Someone hasn't built the manifolds yet!!! but with me actually liking the new SC400 I bought (no one has seen it yet but its gold) I will feel better dumping money into it.
