HAHA ya know what? Im actually serious a friend has a 1987 Chevy Nova (corolla) that he will basically give to me (no big surprise eh?) but I really want to make this thing fast... is there anything out there that I can bolt on or swap easily to make this car somewhat fast?
I was thinking about doing a turbo install but the gains wouldnt be all that much considering Im starting with 74HP.. :)
do I have a snowballs chance in hell or what? thanks

im not sure what the engine in there is but you might have a chance at swapping a 4a-ge in. i dunno the hp #s on those but i believe theyre RWD. (from the 86-87 sr5 rwd corolla coupes)
or try to get a 4a-ge (or 4a-gZe (z=supercharged)) from a mark I mr2. since its a transverse engine powering the rear wheels of the mr2 you probably can mount it up front in the rolla. im not sure i think its been done.
try www.4age.net or .com or something like that
good luck.
if its rwd Ill take it of fyour hands clint dirt cheap!

The 87 Nova is fwd but the rwd motor can be swapped in no problem. You have to change intake and exhaust manifolds to make them work. You can also swap in the old 3a motors too.The 4AGE is computer controlled so Im not sure about that one.The fastest way to go fast is Nitrous.Run lots of gascooler plugsretarded timingand 75 shot of juice and you should have no problems.Strip off as much weight as you can and it may surprise someone.Remember its horsepower to weight ratio.
