Ok so I have free labor of a painter I think I just need to buy the materials. Any1 know how much paint I should buy to do a entire 97 eclipse? I want to do door jambs and engine compartment fenders and such. Basically a complete color swap. I was wondering how much paint. The paint I want is $179 a gallon at napa and I was wondering how much of the other materials I need for clear coat and hardener and shit.

Also if any1 knows any places cheaper then NAPA let me know. Im doing either WRX world rally Blue or Interlagos blue Metallic.

$179 for what? Is that base or single stage. I suggest you base/clear any metallic or pearl color. If its base than you will need a gallon of clear and a kit of that will be at least a $100 for cheap crap.

go with the "painter" and have him get everything he needs and just pay when he is done. He''ll know exactly how much and what actually need. TIA on Lois in Tampa has cheap paint. But you get what you pay for, napa is crap.

i can get you a clear kit for 85$ its nason....... i can also throw in a lil fisheye eliminator out of my own personal supply (this is the guy who bought the actuator from you) go to refinish line on 49th street and tell them the color you want and they will mix it there for you say you work at a body shop and they will usually give you a discount and it will be around 180-230 for a gallon of dupont chromabase and your gonna need some urethane primer get a quart.... by what i saw that should do

what are you all talking about. It $179 a gallon for the base.. I didnt know napa was shit.. so dupont chromabase is good? he has the primer covered. He just wants me to get reducer hardner base and clear.

base hardener?? when you buy clear you buy it as a kit clear and hardener usually its a 4-1 mix ratio so a kit would include quart of hardener to a gallon of clear
