So, i attempted to test paint some crappy wheels but didn't want to spend an ungodly amount of time taping off the insets of the wheel.
i had the brilliant idea of using vasaline since it can easily and quickly be fingered on to hard to tape areas, will stay put, wash off, and not allow paint to stick.
the problems i failed to forsee:
-its clear and sometimes hard to see where it's applied esp in the painted/unpainted areas (can not get clean lines)
-its a petrol product and will not "wash" off. making it difficult to remove so the insets can be cleared with the rest of the wheel.
anyone have better ideas on how to cover non-painted areas like this???
here's a pic...
