The car didn't like the left lane at all. But it seamed to want to get to know the wall real well :(

I'm about 2 tenths away from what my old car was running before and I had a smaller pill in the car last night.

So all in all the first night out I can't complain.

Either that or the intake needs to be milled a little.

I don't think a mill will add the metal back to the intake to cover the gasket!! Maybe cut gasket or order correct gaskets with larger runner opening?

Just a thought

You're right, a mill won't add metal back to the intake manifold, however I don't think that is the problem here.

Sean is a pretty sharp guy and I don't think he would install intake gaskets that are too small for the ports on the heads. If for some reason he couldn't get the correct size gaskets, I feel he would have enough sense to trim the openings to match the heads.

It looks to me like the manifold is sitting to "high" on the heads, thus needing to be milled to lower it down and properly align the intake ports.

Unless, of course, the ports on the intake manifold are larger than the ports on the heads, which we can not tell from the angle of the picture.

I'm sure Sean will chime in and tell us what's going on.
