twin turbo 1uz sc300 build

we've had this project in the works for quite some time. ryan (owner) has given us the car to do some serious fab work too.

initially he just wanted new manifolds built (already turbo), however we are now doing paint, manifolds, exhaust and a slew of other things.

i'll get some pics of the car and the components tomarrow.

**if anyone is looking for a working bolt on turbo kit, he is willing to part with the stuff that he has currently. hes looking to upgrade.

this car is kinda in que, but is next. i havn't had a lot of time to actaully start making the manifolds, so that should start on monday. either way, here the car as it sits right now.

so i'm finally in the clear. got most of my other crap out of the way so i can start building on this car.

first things first, we decided to try a longer collector for an easyer merge. so i designed it up, made a jig and cut up a nice little 4 to 1 collector. its made of 2" od .120 wall stainless tube. its ~6" and collects to a 2.5" pipe.

not totally sure if its going to work, but we'll put it in the car tomarrow and see. worse case senario i'll have to make a shorter one and use this one as a fancy pen holder.

either way, i'll post pics as i get them

well, turns out that big 4 to 1 isn't going to work. just too big for what we can do. so instead we are going to try a 4-2-1 design using shorter collectors.

either way, here are three collectors that we are going to start with. hopefully i can get them to work.

i would hate to put logs back on this car.

I will get a complete list together on this car as far as the specs go, but this is one of the main builds that's listed on Lextreme. What I do know is that the car's running a BL built auto tranny.

It bolts right up, no adaptor needed. It is the Toyota tranny, but built to handle significantly more power and torque. I sent one of mine to BL to build it. I have two auto trannies, I keep the other as a spare...
