so i just bought a 92 formula firebird in AMAZING condiotion! its a 92 305 v-8 w/ t-tops it has around 128*** miles and when it hits 200*** i wanna drop a new engine tranny and redo the exhaust....but im debating what type of engine....i was thinking get a 350 and build it up...but w/e and input would be appreciated! =] thanks! :crack:

carb'd 350 or lt1, cheap direct swaps for the most part

well, its not a smaller motor. its a destroked 327, 327 block with a 283 crank yeilding a 302ci motor. it will spin to 8-9k as it was built for the trans am series in the late 60's. it has a 4.0 in bore vs the 305's 3.736 bore. bigger bore more air. 69 camaro stock 302 DZ engine dyno - Video (http://videos.streetfire.net/video/69-camaro-stock-302-DZ-engine-dyno_156232.htm)
