will a 5 speed from a 305 rs camaro work with my 350 lt1? do they have the same input spline count for my clutch and everything?

You can bolt a T5 to an LT1 no problem, an LT1 is no different at the back than any other 86+ 1 piece rms SBC, the real difference comes down to the computer you are using as the VSS signals are very different.
