inline amp control?

Ok, Im running a stock HU with some 4x6s and 2 6x9s... I will be using a 300w amp and a 200w rms 10" sub...

I am looking for an inline sum/amp controller so if a song with alot of bass comes on(dont want a shit sounding stereo) I can turn down just the sub. I dont need an EQ with all the controls and what not...

I really just need something that I can control amp gain with so as I said I can have adjustability from my seat(amp is behind passenger seat with no way to reach it...

cheapest and easiest way to do it is tune it so your bass isn't all the way down on the head unit for 'normal' songs, so that when one with a ton comes on you can quickly turn the bass down on the factory unit.

but i have seen a little "bass only" type eq that is what i think your talking about i'll see if i can find it

Its not bass only, its actually controls the power output of the amp... It looks like this, but this one is a plug in one and amp specific

got ya, if your amp doesn't have an input for one your going to probably have to do something like pick up a cheap eq and just use the gain settings on it

If it fails, Ill pull it apart and find out how to make my own. Im sure it as simple as a rotary knob controlling the hot side of the RCA.. Which I can pull it all apart and find out...
