I need to replace the clutch in my 240, now, i want something for drifting but street friendly too.
I was thinking about ACT NX4-HDR 6-Puck Heavy Duty Clutch Kit, but someone told me that it was not street friendly. Another kit i was looking at is the
SPEC Clutch Kit Stage 3Plus, so i donkt really know which one im going to get.
What would you recomemd?????:wtf:

stock everything else motor wise? then exedy oem replacement, you dont need a stage 3, or 6 puck

i personally like the 6 puck, but it can be a pain in traffic.
how much power are you making? why not just go with the street clutch if you want something easy to drive?

what do you have done to the car????? look to see what hp they are rated for.....if you are no where close to haveing the power then go with an oem replacement.......dont spend more money than you have to
brand wise.....they are all big names......so they are all good products......go with what will work the best for your setup.......make sure you do fly wheel at the same time.....your better off

if you wanna slide, get unsprung 4 puck. hard core ass shit. u can daily drive it too. u need a hardcore KICK for dorifto. if you just street rasce or whatever it dont matter as much i dont think..unless u have ridiculous power
in tampa TCS tampa clutch suppy sells a super cheap 4 puck setup u can get sprung or unsprung (no springs- its either in or out, my personal fav) kit for like 250, or u can just but a new clutch disc. the disc is 65 bux
i think the best setup would be stock press plate with 4 puck unsprung clutch disc...for sliding of corpse...this is a drioft forum right

well, the thing is that im getting everything ready for the turbo, i dont want to put it in and then have to replace part that i could have change. its an old car and i have to replace the clutch no matter what cuz its giving me problems already.
BTW Im not planing to go pro on drifting, is just something that i want to do for fun. but at the same time i need to take care of the car cuz thats my DD. so should i just do the OEM replacement or may be go with a stage 1 or 2 clutch

if you have the bank, getting a hypersingle is the way to go. if not, get a 6 puck for shits and giggles.

stage 1,2,3???? i wanted for DD and driftig(fun)
depends on the pedal you want to have, agressive omg engagment and hulk hogan pressure isnt cool in dd traffic.. so if I were you Id do an ACT 4 puck sprung. look into it.. or fuck replace it w/ stock...but if I were you I wouldnt worry about sweet clutches, Id worry about that mother trucking suspension

ask bill how he liked his 64 stance setup as opposed to a higher 12 10 or sumtrhin...

my point exactly, you need a real motor to get a real clutch.
as far as coilovers go, anything will work, but spring rates are key. megan tracks are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to stiff. if you buy those to go drifting you are the gay dude who got aids in the ass. and died. 8/6 or less.

so what would you recomend as far as suspencion????
hachibill
04-03-2008, 10:49 PM
regular megan's, stance, badgers, anything with a 8/6 or under spring rate. i noticed that the damping on the more exspensive coilovers are better.

04-07-2008, 02:36 AM
well see thats the thing, thanks to fucking sean i dont know if im going to go Ka-T or sr, so i just decided to get the stage 1, and if i go Ka-T in not planning to go over 270hp and this clutch can hold up to 280lbs of torque, so i should be good if i go turbo. lol if not ill just change it.
