Where are the vin's on a bike. 3 different locations?
I'm going to be purchasing an 03 honda 600rr That has suposedly converted to an 05. I want to find out if the bike really has some type of conversion on it or if it has been re stamped. I have been hearing rumors about being re stamped but never thought I would see one in front of me but guess what... Anyways my whole point for this thread is to help people find out where the vin is located on a bike. I know about the sticker in the front and I know about the fram in the front being engraved. I think mines has been re-done. 2 of the characters are off centered and a little higher then the other ones and I have been told it's a real 05 not an 03 with 05 plastics cause it's not possible. Anyways there is suppose to be another vin some where on the bike. I think it's the down tube... What ever the fuck that is, lol. Anyways I ran the bike numbers and it was clean and then I checked the engine and ran those numbers and it was clean as well. But where are the other set of vin numbers. Like i said one on the right front engraves but where is the other engraved ones at. LMK if you can send pics and cover up your vin so no one can get any ideas but at least I can get an idea of where it's at before I buy it and just to make sure it's lejit. Anyways plz help me out some one... any one!!!

why isnt it possible for a bike to have different plastics ? its the exact same bike .... 03-06

 

I Vhae an 03 600rr with full 06 conversion. So you're telling me that all 06 parts fit on the 03 frame??? Motor, I took the bike apart and put it together and everyting is like factory.Everything clips in perfectly with no mods. To me I figured it will be different shit and I would have problems unless the 06 frame is ientical to the 03 frame.

Damn know one really knows about these honda bikes. Any big differences in the frame, plastics, wtf is the difference. I can't even find out if my bikes motor belongs to the bike or if it was changed, shit it's some bs, lol

triple tree own tube, motor, sticker on left side of frame, and on some bikes it is stamped on the inside of the frame between the motor/frame.

 

Dude you're on the wrong website to get any love/information for/about Hondas. Try fireblades or that cbr net forum. You'll find all the information you could ever need, and probably more, with the folks on those two sites.

Sorry I dont know that particular info about the CBRs but I'm a honda guy too, so you're not alone!

Yup thanks guy the CBR doesn't have a stamp inside the frame it's just the one on the down tube and the sticker but my sticker was removed so hopefully it doesn't fuck with me but oh well, also to the shut up and ride it, well buddy I guess you have a lot of cash to throw down the drain on a bike when the cops take it cause it's stolen cause i was trying to avoid that but oh well everything checked out so hopefully it's not re-stamped cause they must have did a damn good job, lol, well thanks again people
