Slave?

ok i have a 96 isuzu hombre and the clutch just went out yesterday and i am getting a new one and the guys at the repair shop said they are going to have to replace the slave...just curious what is the slave
they said all together its going to be $1000
does that sound right??

Clutch Slave Cylinder, you can get the part for under $100, but depending on what all they are doing to it, there's going to be a good bit of labor charges.. I'm sure they are doing more than just replacing the slave cylinder

yeah 1000 sounds like way too much 4 a slave cyl ...clutch caust about $300
