I been running this around my head the last couple weeks and decided to throw it out there and see what you guys think.

Recipe for bad ass Fox coupe???

Something clean, light, fast and different.

Fox coupe - White
Strip and paint, clean up engine compartment, smooth holes, hide wiring.
Nice cage, Full black or grey interior.
Full UPR or QAI suspension, coil overs/Kmember, all the good stuff.
Flaming River steering
Brakes????
Definily a 5 lug car
Big and littles, drag radials, maybe mini tub it.

Now the good part.

Put a new 3 valve in it with the 500 hp Ford racing kit on it.

I think it would be fast and different. I know 4 valves are out there, but I havent laid eyes on a 3 valve conversion with this blower. The wiring and control would be the hardest part. I want to look into a Speed Density set up from FAST or something along those lines. With all the horror stories on the new software, the factory processor/wiring may be a project killer.

Anyway I was just thinking out loud!

If I knew how to do it, Id carb a 5.4 3v and spray the crap out of it in a fox body. There has to be a way to do it w/out DFI, Im cheap

That is one sweet coupe!

I've seen so many 4v's. I know it's a great engine.
Damn things are a work of art, but that Ford Racing intercooled blower on a 3v just looks hot. Add the fact that its 500 ponies and almost as much torque. Pure Sex.

I have a 88 LX hatch that is almost done. All thats left is mounting the Novi and a tune. What actually got me going on the 3v is that we bought a 07 GT/CS vert last August. I have owned a 65 coupe, 88, 90 LX 5.0's, a 92 GT and a 96 S281 Saleen. I love my 88 LX, not a better car ever been made. But that new GT/CS is a damn nice car. it runs hard for stock. I want that engine in a light ass Fox coupe.

There I've said it, guess there is nothing left to do but start looking for parts and a car!

Good luck with it,the 3valve motors are some badass little motor's for sure,but they are expensive.

I know. to get everything together and be able to afford it, I'm probably looking at getting a totaled car and stripping what I need from it. The more I think about this, the deeper that rabbit hole gets. I think I am going to start with the parts first, then the actual car. This is going to take some time to do right. Hell thats half the fun.
