Ok so I have a question.. As alot of you know I put a 14b on my car for temp because the big 16g when i bought it was no good. Well instead of putting another big 16g back on it is there any bigger turbos that will bolt right in including oil lines and all inplace of an big 16g? and if not what is a good turbo thats alot bigger then the 16g that I should go with? and that type of things do I have to upgrade if any since right now im on a walboro 255 and 550cc injectors big greddy fmic

You can get a lot of turbos to bolt up. PTE 35r can come flanged for a dsm.

20g will do you just fine. 16g will do it but not very easy. Most get around 340 on a 16g.

you need lot supporting mods to get 400 out of 20g and some good tuning to get the most out of the meth

I'm with^
just get a bolt on 50 trim cause I am gonna say again like I said in another post once you obtain 400 whp your gonna wanna upgrade a little especially if this isn't your daily driver and if it is I'd still say bolt on 50 trim and when your feeling spirited just throw the meth on it or some race gas.
building up to a goal hp gets quite expensive if that goal changes cause then your going to have to reorder parts and try to get rid of old ones like different clutch setup/ fuel setup/turbo setup.... the list goes on. So make absolutely sure you know what you want out of your car. And it seems like your on the right track

There are a lot of different 50 trims variations to choose from and they all have different characteristics.
Personally I like the BB Fp3052 but there a little more expensive if you do the full FP setup.
Do some research on what will fit your goals spool wise, how easy do you want to make 400hp. Do you have cams, bolt ons that will help you get there easier.
In the end you can have any turbo but its your supporting mods and tuning that will determine if you reach that goal; just having a good turbo doesnt mean nothing.
There are plenty of evo16g cars that will outrun a 50 trim car if set up right.

A little more? That's an understatement. You can get a t4 50trim, t4 manifold AND wastegate all for the price of just the bb3052.
Anything over a 16g is pointless to stay mitsu hybrid and a waste of money for less performance.
I'm sure that statement will piss some people off.

yea but not everyone is out for PURE performance. theres alot of other factors like price being a big one, spool, street driveability (streetable powerband), and keeping the setup simple.

Whats so complicated about a t4 setup? Its the most simple and efficient. If you go with fp housings you still end up running an external wastegate and a vband o2 like the t4 housings have been setup for 20 years. How would a better flowing flange/turbo be less streetable?
Have you ever driven or had a t4 turbo car?
What's the point of a turbo car if you are going to cry about spool when making big power? Go buy a v8.

borg warner bulls eye extended tip--spools like an evo 16g and makes nice power, like 600hp capable. still would be really fun on the street

Definitly consider bigger injectors.
And if your only tuning with s-gayfc ditch it and get a custom eprom chip or link first.
Turbo wise just get whatever reached your goals that you can sort together for cheap.
I was just saying i liked the FP 3052 turbos for straight bolt on and they make good power, but it sure isnt the cheapest route and i wouldnt buy that whole expensive ass setup from FP. Imo they are a great company but, i find all there turbos to be overpriced.

To me it's not a bolt on when you have to get a custom downpipe and an external wastegate. Sure it bolts onto a mitsu exhaust housing but that's about it.
Straight bolt on(to me) means I can pull my 14b/16g and put the replacement in without buying anything else. That's just my opinion and we all know about those. :)
Anything less than a 50 trim is a waist of money.
