As some of you may have read in a brief thread about a situation with my dog, well after an ass load of money we finally have a diagnosis and a bill. We recently had a line break to our icemaker but it was a small leak that the walls and floors good absorb without showing for a day or two, after we figured it out and dried everything up we thought we were good to go, but the damage was done and water sat trapped beneath the wood floors for almost a week unoticed till the a/c wasn't running on a cool day. Long story short the mold was there and actually sends a scent to attract your animal and it will kill them! My dog currently has a detached retina and lesions on his brain and the treatment is not cheap nor is daignosis, so warning to all please be carefull w/ any leaks you may encounter

I wish your dog the best also man.

Thanks again guys and unfortunately I did find out the hard way and lost my best friend, now I have to get my family out of this house before we get sick. I'm told it's just as hard to treat in humans

Do what you have to do... are there companies that specialize in mold removal? Even if that means having to rip up floors and replace drywall?

drywall has already been removed 3 ft up and floors torn out slab has been sprayed w/ microbial antifungal shit all wood floors have been removed but I have 2 bedrooms on that side of the house that the carpet needs to be removed I had to stop tearing shit out cause it was spreading and the a/c is just a viscous circle of in and out I've been in the trades my whole life and a GC friend of mine use to do mold remediation I have his big de-humidifiers running right now..... just remember this was a perfectly healthy 5yr old 90lb dog it took him in 2 weeks

I'm still in shock about how attatched you can become to a pet this was the most loyal dog I personally have ever had and he wan't just one person loyal, if he didn't know you you couldn't get near my kids actually they were his kids my wife and I couldn't stay up too late or he would get made and whine till we went to bed this is gonna be one very hard adjustment I now have no garage partner

I'm glad your taking it seriously for the rest of the family. About 8 years ago we lost our 16yr old nephew and they found black mold inside the wall by his bed. he already had a weakened immune system from something else and this was to hard for him to recover from.
