No problem btuner. Just to clarify, please vote for every day that you can attend. The day with the highest # of people is probably when we'll do it.

This isn't like the contests, you're encouraged to vote for as many days as you can.

I'm not going to vote cause I'm not really going to know my schedule, just about ever, due to school shit and so forth. So I play it by ear, you all decide and I'll go from there and see when I can or can't make it :D

FoS would be cool but I don't think it'd really be good for a "meet"

Like the Tampa group on Flicr does, they set up something once a month and like go shooting all through Ybor or Ft. Desoto and stuff. So we should set something up that would kind of be the "plan to shoot" type stuff for the day...

Weedon is fun w/o a kayak, but it's not a lot to shoot - you're right.

Lake Tarpon is somewhere that someone had mentioned to me, I've never been there myself. That's why we're discussing it, to see what people would prefer to do. :grin:

I've only ever been to the gate/guard shack at honeymoon island to pick up some documents. The drive over that way was nice though.

honeymoon/dunedin causeway is a good place, lots of places to shoot, its just like $3 per single occupant car or $5 if we pack into cars, to get into the park, but we cant be there after the sun goes down, the causeway also works and would be decent for sunsets.
lake tarpon is out, I'm out there all the time there's nothing to shoot there at night.

I'm trying to find somewhere that we can actually shoot something. I'm all for shooting the sunset, but that lasts ten minutes and we'll all end up with the same shots.

What about something like the seabird sanctuary?

^^ yeah that. Right before the little bridge to the park, they have the rental catamarans (sp) that would make for some cool shots.

Plus if it's breezy enough...could get some nice water shots too. Fred Howard would be out after the sun goes down as well. It's also a county park, closes at dusk.

Canon 1Ds Mark III

Are you sure? I was explaining the advantages of a medium format camera, I really think it would benefit her with the work she does. I know the Mark III has a lot of resolution, but it barely holds a candle to the Hasselbly H3D 39.

It captures 0.7 frames per second, you think that will be an issue?
