This car is really clean! I have driven it. This will make a very sweet project car or DD after the motor is repaired or replaced! Too bad you didn't have time to do it yourself.

"no radio, non turbo, a/c doesn't work, 7mge engine has mild rod knock."

That sir is the problem. If you want it gone asap, I suggest being really flexible on that price tag. Just my .02

I just figured you could swap out the motor with another 7m for like $400 and throw a radio in it. the a\c needs to be recharged but thats not that tough. Thats why the price says OBO. lets say you got it for $1400 and put $500 into a used motor, then you have a good running, CLEAN MKIII for under $2000. You cant find these cars for that cheap.

Man, the Supra used to be a car that held its value. In the nissan world you could sell a 240 shell with NO motor or trans for $1000 you mean the to tell me that Supras have become so undesireable that a base model 240 shell is worth more? Thats pathetic.

RTA is right. If I took a dump in a bag and tried selling it on ebay, it would get more money then what you could get for an MKIII supra lol.

So im right, the MKIII has become garbage. It used to be a sweet car back in the day.

garbage? No. What you're selling is a project car at a running car's price. I will gladly take that car off your hands for the right price but your asking price is not it.

I keep saying your, but you're not the one who posted this thread. You are................?

I bought my supra for 1800.00 in good running condition. Only real problems was the paint on the bumpers and tires. Interior was immaculate and body has no rust or dings.

i'd buy it for that price or a little less if i had the money. personally, non turbo or not, its still an MKIII supra, and when i was originally looking for cars a few months ago, i wouldn't have been an able to find a running MKIII for that price. hard enough to find one in good condition. (i wasn't allowed to look for my car on TR)

good luck! <3

not to be offensive, but ive bought running and driving TURBO 5sp MK3s, pre 89 (less desireable) for LESS than what you are asking. In the MK3 communities collective opinion (as in old school people like me and RTA), an 86.5 is the 2nd most useless mk3 and wont command a good price. 86.5 doesnt have the updated styling like the 89+, cannot be had in turbo model and extremely useless if its an auto. the only plus of your car is its a 5sp, non-ABS, hard top... but thats negated by its poor running condition. if a rod-knocking turbo targa 5sp car is 600, yours should only go for about $300-$400 IF the body is fairly straight with allowance for mediocre paint and interior quality. sorry... if you had an 89+ Turbo 5sp targa like mine or eli's or victors's, youd have a small gold mine...

qualifying an 86.5 under "its still an mk3 so its still money" ideal is like saying, a Lancer is still a lancer and just as good as an Evo7... get my drift?

UPDATES! NOW TESTING WATERS

Ok, after listening to the masses we have replace the motor (just another 7mge) charged up the a\c and put a radio into it. So no knock, new clutch, drives like a champ, doesn't overheat, and blows cold. Just wondering what you guys thinnk its worth now? we will probably be selling in auto trader or craigs list.
