Saturday 3-15-08 Ride to Somewhere....

I got all day Saturday to ride. Anyone interested doing some railing post up....i know good roads/routes in all directions, but i really don't wanna go on a "North Run"....

Id like to meet in Wesley Chapel or Land O Lakes...morning sometime...

Newbies are ok, but you have to wear your gear to ride and if you do stoopid sh!t, i will leave you behind and possibly lost...:D

MEET UP - 8:15 am, KSU 8:30 sharp
7-11 Store @ the Corner of SR 54 & Livingston
Wesley Chapel/Land O' Lakes

RIDE - We will go North to the Hess @ SR 50, but this will not be the entire normal route...from the Hess we will go either East or West, depending on what the group wants to do....

PACE - Eazy going...i will be CRUSING...this will be a slow paced ride for the most part...depending on where we go and what LEO presence is like, we may turn it up a bit...just a nice Saturday ride with no police involvement....

GEAR - It may get warm, but wear all the gear you have...it looks cool!!

They're having a Super Sat. ride/ksu 8:45 A.M. i'd be ridin, but it's too early for me. i'll be watching for your posted start time/place.

I'd like to be back by 3p or so as well. Early meet up... Sunrise is at 7:45.... so I was thinking meet-up at 8:30 & ksu by 8:45? The SC rides are always a blast as well, but it's not the best for noobs.

well, its after 11pm and it just stopped raining in Wesley Chapel...i was wanting to head east from the Hess....maybe postpone 1 hr to let the roads dry some? wet roads just ruins a ride for me....i personally hate it and refuse to ride in it if given the choice...so....

+1...good times boys....the roads were basically dry by 9:45 or 10:00...rest of the day was really nice...only 1 po-po on the whole N Run and we had plenty of warning (besides McGruff the Crime Dog sitting @ the meet spot)...

YZF guy, you did very well for a 1st nrun. Take a look at the book 'A Twist of the Wrist II' (ebay). It's long, but covers the basics and will help you step up faster.

...cycle gear still has some good padded textile pants for $40...they have hip and knee pads and look pretty strong...i just got a pair yesterday...hook up kneegrow....
