Warning long read. but its funny.
So I was doing a favor for Mike (02Lincoln) tonight and was at the shop late as Mike doesn't get off work till 7:30. I ran him and his rims up towards Clearwater to see if this guy wants to buy them. By the time we get back its 9:30, Mike hangs out for a little while then leaves. I pulled my truck in the shop to re-jet the carb and see if i could richen it up a bit. After about 30 mins of working on it. I took it for a couple pulls up and down my street to see if my off idle stumble went away. And its clear to me if i get this truck running any better tractions is just gonna get worse. So I come back to the shop pull the cars in the shop close the doors, lock up. Being that its Monday 98 rock had Mandatory Metallica on, Fade to black (http://youtube.com/watch?v=YzK_EVul6dQ)
For some reason that song put me in the mood to play the drums. And my kit as most of you know is in the corner of our shop. So being that its about 10:00PM ish I played for what feels like a half hour. I broke another stick and didn't have another to replace it with. I clean up and lock up and jump in my truck and leave I make the left on to 123rd just out of my "complex" and I thought fucking SWAT was after me it was fucking insane. Two sheriffs pulled up behind me and another one was coming west down the street towards me with lights on. I pull over, pull the keys out of the ign. toss them on the roof and shut my lights off. He walks up and asked what i was doing here so late. After I explained myself he asked me if i was the one playing the drums. I told him I was. He asked me how long I've been here at this location I told him about 2 years. So he tells me. For the last year the P.C.S.O. has been trying to figure out where the drumming has been coming from. Turns out there is a 55 and up trailer park N/E of my shop and they have been complaining for over a year about the drumming.
So they put a Neighborhood watch together to figure out where this law breaking scum bag is. After about 3 weeks of this the officer tells me they figured out after the drums stop they hear a loud "race car" start up and race west up 123rd. Now the officer trys to explain to me about how he also has complaints of loud cars racing up and down this street all the time and is looking to give me citations. So turns out that the drum complaint's have become so bad and frequent they asked officers around the area to patrol it to see if by chance they can find where the noise is coming from. And tonight the officer said he was outside my shop for almost a hour and a half. I looked at my phone and it was 11:02 and Mike and I got back at 9:30. 9:30 + time for me working on truck and moving cars in and out and playing the drums for an hour and a half would put the time closer to midnight.
but i kept my silence apologized for the problems i seam to have caused. He takes my info back to his car and by now i think there are 4 PCS cars around my truck. He comes back and hands me my stuff and tells me to keep it down and slow down. I asked if there is a noise ordinance what is it so i know to keep it down. He tells me 11pm. :-o It was before 11pm when you pulled me over i told him. He tells me to have some common sense and have a goodnight. I thanked him and I grabbed my keys off the roof and drove off.
If its too loud your too old!!!
