View Full Version : how to wet sand

i know you have to keep it real wet like. but all the times ive tried it, it leaves the surface with white scratches and scuff marks and dull lookin.
am i doin it right?
do i buff or wax it or somethin to get rid of those marks?

what grit are you using?

Wet sanding is to smoothe out the clear, eliminate orange peel, and minor imperfections, you are sanding the clear which turns it white, dull and milky, then you need to Compound, and high speed buff it to make it shinny again, and do not get one of those from wallmart it will not work, it dosent spin fast enough.

yup some compound and a hi speed buffer will be your best friend!!!

ya mike get him to use 36 lol he doesnt want the shinny metal coming back lol
