The price of gasoline has risen sharply since late '03 to ridiculous levels. Many years of good average costs and now(insert blame name here) is giving it to us raw. I dont believe any of this katrina or middle east crap. Its been the same ol story over there for millenia, aint nothin new. Heres a graph showing the trend. This is where technology leaves us? It should be easier to work together, not harder.

they have been saying it for twenty years .This way they can get rid of all these cars that no one can afford to drive. IF they had it their way any car twenty years or older would be crushed.slowly they take away you freedom instead of ripping the carpet from under you feet all at once.they are taking control of everything. i cant say any more they are watching

Looks like the upper red slash crosses the lower red slash at exactly 5250 forming a perfect x.

My mouse has two buttons and a nice little roller. I use the right button in conjunction to the left button. It helped me to eliminate the red "X" and actually see the graph. Does no-one else see what I do on that graph? Gas prices skyrocket...Then plumit about half what they went up...Repeat. They (the oil companies) will charge what we (the consumers) will pay. They jack it up way high and scare us, then lower it to half what they jacked it up to and everyone scrambles to the pumps to buy in bulk. When that buying frenzy tapers off, they jack it way up again for about 2 weeks to a month, then lower it half of what they jacked it up, resulting in a buying frenzy again. I am beginning to ride my bike more often when I can to combat this rape. I also took a job where I live on site, so I have no commute to work. However, I DO have my own business in addition to the job that I work during the day. I USED to have a 50 mile commute for that business. I have moved it closer, so now I only have a 5 mile commute. Which I COULD ride my bike to if I was so inclined. Which, I do about once a week. If prices jump too high, I will simply ride my bike more often and only drive the car for pleasure. I live in downtown, so EVERYTHING is close to me. :D I miss the late 80's gas prices of a dollar a gallon.
i cant say any more they are watching Classic! I loved that book. 1984 FTW How close we are....how close we are.
you can buy stock in fossil fuel also...cash in now......there are thousands of american's making mad cash on gas stock
IMO I think we need to tap every fucking reserve we have and start drilling the fuck out of the gulf and Alaska.

The reason the US is not doing just that is simple. We are using up all of the middle east's oil first. Then (theoreticly) when they run out, we'll be the only ones with oil. And we will be able to charge what we want to for it to outside countries. Of course, this will just make them love us that much more. :D

Careful who you blame, Mobil Exxon just posted huge profits and both Obomber and the Wench Clinton are screaming about how all of these big oil companies are screwing us. The problem with that is, it's us. Only about 1% of Mobil Exxon is owned by individuals the vast majority is owned by stock holders like you and me, No, I'm not rich and you probably aren't either, but if you have a 401K or some other type of investment, or a portfolio of stocks, you probably own at least some of the big oil. When those dividends are paid, they get taxed, and Mobil Exxon also employs over 8 thousand people, who also pay taxes, which funds things like the social programs Obomber and the Wench are pushing so hard.
It's a lot like people who whine about crappy job availability and the outsourcing of American jobs. These same people can be found shopping at Wal Mart and there's hardly a single freakin thing made in the USA in the whole damn store.
Here's what we should be worrying about, China is buying up potential oil reserves at a higher price than the American companies can pay, they are planning to drill off of the coast of Cuba, the US won't drill in places like that because of the environmental wackos. So we have a case of where the US companies can't or are not allowed to drill and therefore can't be competitive with foreign markets. So yeah, we get screwed by people like OPEC and Venuzalian (spl?) dictator Chavez, who wholly own CITGO, and provide cheaper oil and hate America at the same time. If companies like Mobil Exxon ever, and I mean EVER go out of business or fail to be competitive in a global market than we will really get the bone of death. Plus FWIW, all of the other crap combined, ethanol, solar, wind, whatever, only provides less than 1% of our energy, so if it was so great, more peole would be jumping on that bandwagon, the Greenpeace crybabies could make billions investing in it, if it only worked.

we need to drill where we can, bring up some new refineries, invest and push for new energy sources and change our driving habits. We MUST do this.

Hey, it doesn't use ANY oil for me to ride my bike.....as in my bicycle....to and from my business which is only 5 miles from home. Oil companies will continue to make money and record profits as long as WE the CONSUMERS continue to pay their highway robbery prices. Not enough is being done to find alternative sources of fuel IMO. However, the alternatives we have are valid and DO actually work...But more needs to be done to make it more redily accessible to the average citizen. E-85 works just fine....But the last time I checked, the only place you can get it in Floriduh is at NASA. Of course, in Ohio, it's everywhere right alongside Biodiesle. But....It still is too expensive to make, so it isn't saving anything. Also, it has less bang for the buck. Until you can get bio-diesel or e-85 for half the price of regular gas and just as accessible, no-one will switch over to it. Of course, we can make our OWN bio-diesle.....but man....That would require us to actually WORK. No-one around here is willing to do THAT. It also costs money up front for the small amount of equipment to make it, and no-one is willing to do THAT either.
If Obama gets elected pres...I'm moving to Canada. I can deal with Hillary in office again, but not the bomber.
