only rentable on a weekday M-F
$300 BASE for 2 cars/driver (i do not know if the track as a max number they allow)
additional cars +$50 each.

at 4 cars = $400 is 100 per person! thats insane!

If you also would like me to come out and give instruction to the drivers I will be glad to do so, my personal costs are minimal compared to any 'driving school' and I am willing to come out for:

$150 for as many cars as you have (my truck needs fuel to get there/back, this is included in that $150). Time split evenly between the drivers who 'pitch in' for me to come (if only 3 of the 6 drivers wanted me out there, I'll work with those 3).

Typical driving schools are 500-2000$ a person/per day depending on venue/car/instructor charges....

you will have to ask the track but i assume there is an employee and you will be required a cage.

if you want to be allowed tandem w/o cage... goto countyline.

I was there today specifically so Dan and I could practice some tandem, but... only one car on the track at a time. We didn't find that out until after we paid and started driving. I was pissed, but it was still a pretty good day.

so hmmm, that makes it a lil different, really though, if you are going to rent the track for a whole day, you better have a lot of tires ready. so cost is still worth it if lots of people pitch in for a whole day.

I have several other venues available, while not are all as close as desoto. also I can provide REAL sanction and insurance. if anyone wants... I mainly do road racing training and testing/setup for people, but... that being said If I were to rent a track for testing, there is no reason I couldn't let a couple drifters run for a donation to Tampa rally club.

Not to rain on your parade there, but at the start of the post, boxmod broke down the entire thing for up to 10 drivers on pricing.

I went today with Jeremy, Dan, Gary, Brett, and Jen and it was awesome, 5 hours with 6 of us and Jen was the only one left with tires.

I think I heard somewhere that there was a cap to the number of drivers allowed. You may want to call the track and check that out.

ya, private day with me and 2 buddys of mine, we couldnt even use all 4 of our hours, ran out of tires and gas... i think i went through 8 or 10 tires? it was amazing.

Sean I might be able to come I don't know, it is kinda expensive if you try to do it week after week and I'm going to gainesville road course and OSW April 5th, so I have to shell out some money that day. Gary will definitely be down. It was only his third time out and he was linking the entire oval.

Sorry Jen, you were getting it, little more throttle control and add some steering angle. How did the rest of your day go?

yea the 1/2 day for even 6 drivers was a lot of time. If everyone shows up on time and gets out there you will either have no tires left, or you have a semi full of them. No tire mounting though so bring wheels.

and of course the prices are for only the ones drifting. If you are just there for support you dont have to pay, but I doubt they will let 50 people in to watch for free. Its a private track day, not a private demo.

I also asked about tandem, there will be requirements IF IF IF IF *IF* john is able to allow it. I'm trying to get it though.
