after only about 100 miles on my bottom end tne oil pump seized, the bearings(clevite 77), pump(melling), rings gaskets etc were purchased through a commercial acct w/ autozone when I went to see about my replacements this morning I got a dumb look followed by more stares and then a couple of mouths agape (IDIOTS) I was then told my buddy's garage has to warranty these, that they can't even though purchased through them what a bunch of bs. I'm so pissed right now but will end my rant thanks for listening

I need a little more info here, why do they have to warranty them out? If the oil pump takes it shit its warranty does not cover any additional parts that it took with it?

No the only way they guarantee motors is if you buy them from them. Parts assembled by a third party are the motor builders respondsibility.

wasn't looking for a new motor, the bearings aren't bad just a little shiny, I was looking for a new oil pump, as it seized brought the broken ds to show them it was frozen there is no trash in it, when the motor was assembled it wasn't just primed w/ a drill it was hooked up to a machine that pressurizes your entire system and circulates the oil through its own filtering system to remove any junk the could've been in it I know its only a $35 pump but the reaction pissed me off, it malfunctioned

Haha you must of been out there. Ya we got the car fired but we missed the 2nd round of qualifying. Which I really needed I dont have much seat time in that car.
IDK why it wouldnt fire. We banged on the dizzy and it started. I am thinkin the TFI module might be going south cause I have no spark. It started right up when we made are next run but when we went to leave it gave me problems again.
