98 trans am tranny

i gotta 98 trans am with an automatic tranny. My question is when driving the car it has close gears, but as far as i know are still factory when driving my 1st is 0-20 2nd 21-40 3rd 41-50 . The rest of the gears im not sure of off hand. To me it just seems that the gears are extremely close.Does this seem factory or afermarket?

Shift points vary by throttle input and speed, if you drive it easy it will shift soon, the more your foot presses the throttle the more it stretches out the shifts.
