Default 240 and hardbody trans the same?

I was wondering if 240s and hardbdy transmissions are the same internally. I know gearing is diffent of coarse but, is it all bolt in stuff? I know that the trannys are the same length beside the 240 has a longer tail shaft. Im having some issues with my tranny and want lower gears anyway...

this is for a ka-e

thanks in advance,
-Mike

i throught they were the same. even geared the same... I thought the different gearing was the rear end...
either way, I would say get them next to each other and make sure, but from what I remember, they will bolt up...

No, I know they bolt up but they are different lengths... I fucked something up in my trans so I want to know if I can use 240 internals...

should be ok. its probably only different lengths due to vehicle length.

Im gonna guess if there diffrent lengths then the Output shaft woulnt work.. but other then that if there the same it should all work.
