her frame is twisted

Well I think that might be a problem then. But what do you mean by sliding? Like the rear wheels are locked up and draging the tires?

Ok so that i have this straight, it slides while your going straight or when you turn? If your going straight does it sway from left to right or does it feel like the back end wants to come around?

How the hell do you have so many negative rep points?

The back end of the car sways. Both turning and going straight. It feels like the tires arent holding, or like the cars being pushed back and forth. It was implied by another person who drove the car on the highway that it felt like it was loosing a tire.

Normal street driving though, all it does is pull to the left a little, only on like fast acceleration, but i believe that's because of the twisted frame.

The car is ALL STOCK, 4 banger, a million things wrong with it. I absolutely CAN NOT have my car lowered at all. To park it at home requires curb hopping.

I'd just really like to feel a bit safer driving on the highway. Especially because I'm on I4 and I75 almost everyday for work.

maybe the sway bar is busted or something?

Sounds like you already figured it out...a messed up frame will do that...jumping curbs can't be good for the alignment either.

That's the answer to your problem (twisted frame). Once a car's frame is jacked up, it's usually never the same again, even with a good repair. I'd suggest moving onto a new/different car. No sense dumping any more money into it.

13mil?

looks like 56,558,929 to me

56.5mil from 12 posts,,, thats damn 4,713,244 points per post DANG

twisted frame + daily curb hopping + a million things wrong = stay off the interstate

Yeah that e-brake action is probably what did it in

Where exactly is the frame damage?

Well you know the BACK slides out so I'd assume it's in the back :dunno:.

it was sliding before all that e brake action. and hah i wish i could drift. someone teach me. >.<

ummm... i dont know exactly where the frame damage is. the right side of the car is missing ..... ALL vin numbers. i still pull glass out from under the passengers seat from when the original window was broken.

so. i believe the frame damage is mostly on the front passengers side. but but the entire frame is twisted. windows/doors dont line up on either side

Easier said than done I know, but frankly, I'd say screw this car and get yourself a more "safe" and "reliable" ride. If the car's doors and lines are misalinged that badly, there's no point in trying to save it.

Are you getting a decent tax return? If so (and you can afford to do it), I'd say use it as a down payment towards another car, or buy a cheap, old car, that's in relatively good shape. Is your Eclipse paid off? I hope so, for your sake.

its paid off. but. its also my first car. and my mom bought it.

and i'm currently lacking a decent job. so. no tax return. >.<

its not really that its no reliable. its only left me "stranded" once and that was when the alternator belt broke. and it broke right after we'd bought the new belt for it, so the next day it was fixed. and it hasn't stalled out since i got the EGR valve replaced.

but i agree. as soon as i save up enough or get a better job, i'm getting a better car. probably a celica like i originally wanted to. >.<
