How do I get to the MacDill Auto-x?

I live in Orlando and would like to go to the autocross at MacDill at the end of this month. Do you have to have your name on the list at the front gate of the base? Also I have no idea how to get there from O-town anyone have some easy directions for me? Thanx in advance

yes you do have to get your name on the list.. if its an SCCA event go to eec.com/racing and email the guy.. hell get your name on.. once youre on the list it will be on it for a full year.. but chances are just go the gate and tell them youre there for th eauto-x.. theyll flag you in...


to get here.. take I-4 to I-275 south and get off on the dale mabry southbound exit... and take dale mabry south to the end.. the macdill gate is right at the southbound stop of Dal Mabry... once on theyll help you out with going around the base to the spot

Orlando: I-4 straight to Tampa. Get off at Dale My Bry exit. At
exit turn left and straight all the way to Gandy Blvd. Keep going straight when at Gandy Blvd. Keep going the Base is up front!

I think you have to be a Member of SCCA in order to do Autocross at McDill but I might be wrong. It isnt hurt just to check things out!

i wanna go i wanna go! just one problem..... how much what time and do i have to have a helmet or anything else to run i got boxmod and exhaust only class C (street prep) and class E (stock) i can navigate scca.org cuz they bl*w or somethin.... tanks

its $25 for non scca members to run... if you dont have a helmet they have loaners there.... its a blast! but if it IS this sunday..i may be moving.. if i go.. its probably to just watch..i need to take it easy on my car for a little while.. shes going in tomorrow (thurs) for a crank walk check.... gotta love that end play!
