I have this wastegate on my Rs and right now it limits my boost to around 5psi. I am wanting to install a Blitz SSBC controller i have and set the hi setting higher than 5 my stock internals can handle up to 8 safely but ill only use 7...my question finally is will the wastegate allow me to up the boost or do need a different wastegate all together?

im not quite sure im thinking maybe youd need to buy a spring at the most....im too broke for all that i have a grainger boost controller and an internal wastegate
Well... 5 psi is what the wastegate does by itself and thats controlled by a spring. If you add a boost controller (or bleeder valve) you could have boost from 5 to whatever psi you want. What the controller does is fool the wastegate into thinking that its not getting a full 5 psi so it lets the boost increase. Alternatively you could change the wastegate spring.. but that would raise your minimum boost so its not a good idea. Make sure you add the extra fuel youll need to run higher boost..

Thanx for the info guys....yea the fuel shouldnt be a problem the car runs rich naturally and when im at full boost its still on the rich side of my a/f meter plus im using a vortech 12:1 fmu.

You can actually adjust the Deltagate to run LESS than the spring psi. Dont ask me why it just does. I have a 7psi spring but have run as little as 4psi. With the boost controller the Sky is the limit...I made a 15psi run the other night with the 7psi spring...
Hope this helps

Actually you will run into a point that the EXHAUST pressure will push the wastegate open without the aid of the charge air boost reference. With a 5psi spring at say 10psi the exhaust will just shove the gate open and start dumping but the racegate is easy to take apart and the spring kits are cheap. I believe the highest spring rating they have is 12psi but you can run that one up to at least 28psi (seen it done)
