I went and watched it at "The Slug" over in West Chase w/some friends and my girl... Best moment of the night?! Right here:

 :-o
Tim Sylvia looked good for about a round, and then sucked like usual. Frank Mir ankle locked big ass Brock Lesnar, after Brock POUNDED on Mir's face for the first few minutes of the fight! Couple of great fights tonight for sure

A few of us watched it at my house tonight.
Good fights to watch interms of entertainment but the card was sort of soft.
(tim sylvia has been boring as of late)

Tim Sylvia = teh suck, IMO. He's been the most boring PPV headliner for the past 3-5 PPV's (can't recall exactly). The FIRST fight with Arlovski was the last one I enjoyed watching him fight in. He's been afraid to throw hands, let 'em go, and engage. Tonight he showed up for the first round at least. The dood reminds me of the old "Rock Em Sock Em Robots" w/his flat footed, chicken legged, pecking fight style
Card wasn't that "soft" :dunno: Ricardo Almeida, Tim Boetsch, Tim Sylvia, Nog, Lesnar, Mir, Tyson Griffin, Nate Marquardt, Jeremy Horn... That's a pretty stout list of competitors.

Lesnar thought he would come in and dominate the UFC....I guess he found out the UFC isn't all an act like the WWE. LOL

He DID dominate Frank Mir in the takedown & striking game. However, he got out-classed by a well versed submission artist. He will be a force in the H/W division of the UFC for a great time to come, IMO. He just needs some serious polishing on his BJJ and BJJ defensive techniques.

This is true. And I think he will go and in between fights, he will be working on his BJJ a LOT more. However, I still think he will get beat just like all the others. I don't think anyone in the UFC has a perfect record do they? Lesnar earned some respect from me though with his reaction to the outcome. He remained classy, and didn't go all apesh*t like his act on WWE.

<---RIGHT HERE!!!! That guy doesn't give up man! I'de like to meet a LOT of the UFC fighters....I would rather LEARN something from them, but just a meet and greet is fine w/ me.

Lesner did good, and I'm sure he'll get better, but like I told Levi, in all of his years of training, nobody's ever really tried to break his leg. Some things you just can't practice, and you only experience in a real fight. And the adrenalin rush, and having someone try to break your leg, are two of those things

We're bringing him to the store on Saturday the 16th of February at 1pm (it's on Kennedy in Tampa).
He's going to be doing some other promo events for us while he's here as well.
Then in the next few months we're bringing Anderson Silva, and Dan Henderson too :D

Sweet man, I'll be the guy running around like a lunatic probably :D Crowd control for a man of his stature is surely going to be interesting :crack:

Mir hasn't been very good since the accident and looked ok.
Lesnar is an unknown and again looked ok (good for a new guy)
Tim sylvia has been a snooze fest as of late and isn't that good of a fighter
Nog is unproven and figured to be another pride failure, guess he won and all but again not a good fight to sign.
Nate marquardt is pretty good but him fighting horn wasn't a good fight before it ever happened.
Jeremy horn is way over the hill.
The main fights of the night weren't of the caliber of say a liddel-silva. Most of the fights didn't even pit legit top 5 or even 10 guys of any weight against each other. SO yeah I thought the card was soft.
I do think the one coming up in canada looks to be more solid with known good fighters going at it.

I bet they're not! I would be willing to bet you're paying a small fortune to have him there for a meet and greet.
