We are debuting this item solely here on TR. The Driven Concepts Supra MKIV Subframe Brace. Driven Concepts has moved ourselves into the forefront of fabricating sought after parts for the Toyota / Lexus / Supra / 2jz / 1-2-3uz / market. With Driven Concepts as the manufacture, and two other parties involved, we will keep all the logistics out of this thread. We are solely the manufacture, once this part hits the market, MVP Motorsports will be the sole retailer of this product. We are working closely with TTC Performance out of Orlando to get some more new ideas planned out, EVOs, 350zs, etc.....are all to come.

Thanks to Eric from TTC Performance for putting us out there!

Thanks to Dusty from MVP Performance for giving us the opportunity with this product. Do-Luck Subframes - Page 5 - Supraforums.com (http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=452085&page=5)

There are a few other tricks in the bag still, along with the 1/2/3uz twin turbo manifolds that are offered through TTC Performance. http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/driven-concepts/448339-driven-concepts-1uz-turbo-manifold-fabrication.html

Driven Concepts will be starting builds on two 2uz TT kits, one in a Supra MKIV chassis and on in a Lexus SC chassis.

Keep your eye on this forum for updateds!!!

You dont make enough torque to need it Mr. Torqueless wonder.

They are even sexier in person.

I am confused with this piece. It looks like it is just screwed through the floor from the bottom with drywall screws. Is this supposed to be through-bolted or something?? Whats its purpose in that spot on the car. Even if you stiffen that area on the sides, it still twists in the middle. Mike, make a chassis in your CAD software (Cause I don't have mine anymore) and install this part on the chassis and show the chassis flexing with this part and without it. I am sure it makes a little difference but not a ton. Sell me on it please! Why not you guys make one that snugs tight to the floor and goes up and through the drives shaft tunnel and connects to both sides in one peice and you've sold me as long as it has big washers and nuts and bolts through it.:poon: Look, you guys can 1 up the competition and dadda spent enough time in that business to help for free, no charge. At Toucan, We took peoples shit and copied it for years. lol
P.S. It's very pretty!

Thanks for making SC parts. :)

What are looking at as far as pricing? I also was wondering about the "screws" too.

I understand that silly! 1 hard launch in a Supra and those screws are history however.+ they are going to rust off.

i cant really see those being all that effective but they look super cool!

Looks similar to other setups use for mustangs. Though it needs heavier duty screws or to be welded in I think. Looks sweet though

LOL.....those are titanium screws and will hold up massive amount of tq.

This is just a prototype, needed it to be attached so the 'buyer' can see how they fit. We suggest this piece to be fully welded to get the full effect, but we will be supply hardware kits for installation that will consist more then just self tapping wood screws.

This is a simple proto for now, the final product will be far different to this. We needed to get an example mocked up so we can get an idea on cost / materials / etc..... Keep your eye on this thread and you will see.

See, that makes sense if its welded! Steeda does that with the Mustang subframe braces they make.

screws wont cut it ...weld or thru bolt

we are making this product in conjunction with another company and they requested a "bolt-on" solution. what we have in the pictures is somthing to hold it too the car so we can take pictures.

if there isn't an option to put a through bolt in, its going to have to be a screw or a self tapping bolt. for instance in the frame rail. we will definatly look at our options and pick the best one available.

to actually make this product work you would need to weld it in, otherwise its pretty much there for looks.

like every other subframe connector welding>all

the purpose of this bar is specifically to stiffen the chassis on targa top supras. i'm thinking its going to help with other applications as well, however we're going to have to try it first.
