The LQ1 is a 3.4 DOHC. You can get them in the early 90's Grand Prixs, Luminas and 95-97 Monte Carlos and a few other cars. Basically any 1st and 1.5 Gen Wbody could of came with an LQ1.

There was some other late model buick/olds that had a dohc v6, I think it was a 3.5 based motor. The LQ1 was fwd and I think made 200 or 210 hp. In my dealings with it, its nothing more than old 3.1 pushrod motors converted to DOHC. My parents had both a lumina Z34 and monte carlo z34. Cool little motors, but they liked to eat up alternators due to no cooling for them

And alternators are a royal pain in the ass to change on those. I think the labor manual calls for 4.5 hours iirc. and it takes almost every bit of that.

I think the new CTS motor is a DOHC V6 as well as the GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, and Saturn Outlook SUVs.

The caddy version is direct injection and makes about 305 hp

the other regular injected models are about 275 hp
