Allen, Gruden To Stay With Bucs Until 2011 (http://www2.tbo.com/content/2008/jan/22/allen-gruden-stay-bucs-until-2011/?news-breaking)

Overall, Gruden is 48-48 with the Bucs during the regular season and 3-2 in the postseason.

Yes, but will they keep Garcia?

And how will they prevent injuries next year?

I think that was the number one killer to the Bucs this year.

+1 - Injuries owned us. We still played very well considering the adversity we were faced with.

I do believe keeping Gruden is the right choice at this time. I think next year we'll be playing really good ball - especially if we can keep Garcia on board, and stay (close to) injury free. Caddy, Petigout, Pittman, Stovall, Jones, etc - all need to be on board full tilt for us to really make a statement next year.

Also, I'm not so sure they'll keep Chris Simms on board. Look for him to get dished off elsewhere probably (if they keep Garcia). And don't expect Mike Alstott to return next year either...

I don't think he deserved an extension but at the same time if they didn't give it to him he would have been a lame duck coach for next season.

The good news, even coaches with current contracts can be fired.

Actually, I thought he did quite well with half his starting line up out and injured. I think that our team has some of the smallest players on it, and they get injured too easily. Put some meat on their bones and play em the way they've been trained to play. Then we'll do better.

I think Garcia, will be staying around for another year. The Bucs realized how decent and advantageous it was to go with a veteran this year, I see them doing that again next year. Donovan McNabb is available on FA, so I think the bucs will be looking at Donovan personally. They should ditch caddy, and try to pick up another second round pick, then with the 2 second round choices, try to sell the 2-2nd rounders for another first round, I know Oakland will be happy to take the 2-2nd rounders, in order to give up one of their first rounders up, they have 2-1st round drapt picks this year and 2-2nd round draft picks.
