Our 1st Anniversary (some Mustang content inside)

Today marks our first wedding anniversary. So far so good. To celebrate the event we decided to take a few days off over on the space coast. She had never been and I hadn't been in years...so we figured it would be a fun time.

My plan was to rent a V6 Mustang vert for the drive over. Hertz screwed up the reservation and put us down for a Sebring. Granted, a V6 Mustang vert isn't the nicest car out there...but it sure as fuck beats a reborn Lebaron. We go to pick it up and the guy tells me they have a couple Shelby GT-H's in the back. Despite the experience with Scott's POS Shelby, I decide to fork over the extra cash and drive in style. They even gave us UNLIMITED miles since our original reservation was for an unlimited miles vehicle. SWEET!

Long story short...the car runs like a raped ape. Transmission is smooth and shifts quickly. None of the knock at full throttle like Scott experienced (I think they either de-tuned them to run on shit gas or they may actually be filling them up with 91+). My only complaint was the wet noodle chassis and the fixed traction control button. Great f-ing car. I may have to overlook the Ford emblem when the new Bullit comes out.

The GT-H Verts are a diffrent build GT-H (basically a Job 2 build), which is probably why you had a better experiance then scott. ford fixed a bunch of the issues they had with the first GT-H coupes.

looks like it was a lot of fun and you got off lucky with the rental mistake! lol

i'll be clocking in #7 with my man this year, 16 years overall (give or take).

i didn't put him through the one year old cake though. lol
